Fans of the popular anime series Bleach may be interested in recent comments by its creator, Tite Kubo. Through translated interviews on his Q&A platform, Kubo has revealed his openness to a remake of the anime following its initial run by Studio Pierrot that began in 2004.
While Kubo acknowledged there are currently no official plans for a remake, he stated, "I'd like to make that happen." He further expressed his preference for a remake that "faithfully follows the original work."

The desire for a more faithful adaptation stems from Kubo's limited involvement in the earlier portions of the anime. He explained that he only began having input on character dialogue in the later "Bount" arc. This lack of involvement is a common issue with long-running Shonen Jump adaptations like Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece, where creative differences and the need for filler episodes sometimes resulted in significant deviations from the source material.

However, Kubo's involvement in the upcoming "Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War" arc, including contributing to storyboards, demonstrates his increased creative presence in the anime's recent iterations. This shift, combined with the trend of anime remakes like the upcoming "One Piece" by WIT Studio, suggests a potential future for a faithful Bleach remake that aligns with Kubo's vision.

While the current Bleach anime remains available to stream, fans can continue to anticipate the release of the "Thousand-Year Blood War" arc later this year and speculate on the possibility of a future faithful remake.
